We are seeking a Contract Senior Supply Chain Management Consultant to lead and deliver complex Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations supply chain implementations and optimizations.
In this role, you will serve as the primary functional expert for supply chain processes across procurement and sourcing, inventory management, demand planning, warehouse management, transportation management and sales processes. You will work closely with clients and solution architects to analyze their current state, design future state processes, and configure D365 F&O to meet complex business requirements.
Success in this role requires deep operational and logistics expertise, advanced proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O SCM modules, and the ability to translate business requirements into effective system solutions. You will also mentor junior consultants, collaborate with technical teams, and serve as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Functional Leadership and Solution Design
- Lead supply chain workstreams for Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O implementation and optimization projects
- Conduct current state analysis and design future state supply chain processes
- Configure D365 F&O supply chain modules including (but not limited to) procurement and sourcing, inventory, demand planning, warehouse management, transportation management and sales and marketing
- Develop functional specifications, process flows, and system configuration documentation
- Lead fit-gap analysis sessions and recommend solutions for complex requirements
- Design and execute data migration strategies for SCM master data and transactional data
- Provide expertise on best practices and industry specific requirements
- Collaborate on technical designs with touchpoints across Power Platform, Azure, and integrations
Client Engagement and Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the client facing subject matter expert in supply chain management
- Build strong client relationships with key business users and subject matter experts, guiding decision making throughout engagement lifecycle
- Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders to gather requirements and validate solutions
- Present solution designs and recommendations to client executives and project steering committees
- Manage client expectations and identify process optimization opportunities
Project Delivery and Quality Assurance
- Collaborate with project managers and solution architects to define work plans, timelines, and resourcing needs
- Work with technical consultants, developers, and solution architects to deliver integrated solutions
- Lead system configuration, testing coordination, and user acceptance testing for operational processes
- Support training development and end-user training delivery
- Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and align with project objectives
- Participate in go-live activities and provide post-implementation support
Team Coordination and Knowledge Sharing
- Provide proactive communication to stakeholders at all levels
- Mentor junior consultants and provide guidance on SCM functional expertise
- Share knowledge and best practices across the delivery team
- Support pre-sales activities including solution demonstrations and proposal input, as required
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management Functional Consultant certification(s)
- Minimum 7 years of supply chain management experience in enterprise environments, consulting, or ERP solution delivery
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O (or AX2012) supply chain modules
- Deep knowledge of end-to-end operational processes and industry best practices across manufacturing, distribution, and retail sectors
- Proven record of successfully leading SCM workstreams on complex ERP projects
- Proven ability to design and configure advanced warehouse management, procurement & sourcing, sales, and master planning solutions
- Strong understanding of cross-functional integration with Finance and Manufacturing
- Experience with complementary Microsoft technologies such as Power Platform, Azure DevOps, Dataverse, and Reporting tools (Power BI, SSRS) is a plus
- Ability to collaborate effectively with business and technical stakeholders globally

- Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O SCM functionality and configuration
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to translate complex business requirements into system solutions
- Exceptional client-facing communication and presentation skills, including executive level communication
- Experience with SCM integrations including third-party logistics providers, suppliers, product lifecycle management systems, and manufacturing execution systems
- Understanding of data migration approaches for SCM master data and transactional data
- Familiarity with operational reporting and analytics using Power BI, Excel, and D365 F&O tools
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- Strong documentation and training skills for knowledge transfer and user adoption
- Industry experience in manufacturing, distribution, retail, or other supply chain intensive sectors preferred
- Skilled in process reengineering and change management
- Proficient with project collaboration tools such as Azure DevOps
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a global team
- High degree of organization and attention to detail
Contract Details
- Six to twelve months with potential for extension based on project pipeline
- Primarily remote, with the ability to travel to client sites in Canada and the US as required (up to 25%)
- Must be able to work primarily EST business hours with flexibility for other time zones as required
