About the Role

As a growing and ambitious team, passionate about building a workplace where people love what they do, we are seeking an experienced HR Expert (based in Quebec) with a proven track record in all HR activities and can bring that experience to shape how we work, grow, and support our people.

  • Position Summary

We are seeking a part-time HR Expert (approx. 10 hours per week) with 5+ years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in Quebec. The ideal candidate has a strong background across all areas of HR, from recruitment and onboarding to compliance, employee relations, and talent development. This role requires someone proactive, adaptable, and knowledgeable about Quebec labor standards, who can act as a trusted advisor to both management and employees while ensuring HR processes remain effective, compliant, and people focused.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full hire-to-retire process, introducing standards and best practices to ensure consistency, compliance, and a positive employee experience.
  • the go-to person for all things HR; from hiring and onboarding to performance, culture, and offboarding.
  • Keep our policies and processes smart, simple, and compliant with Quebec labor standards.
  • Help managers and employees navigate tricky situations with empathy and fairness.
  • Support payroll and benefits processes (with finance team support).
  • Ensure compliance with provincial and federal labor laws.
  • Drive initiatives around learning, growth, and employee engagement.

Qualifications Required

  • 5+      years of solid HR experience (generalist or      manager-level), preferably in Quebec.
  • Strong      knowledge of Quebec labor standards and HR compliance.
  • Great      communicator and trusted advisor; approachable, clear, and empathetic.
  • Comfortable      juggling different responsibilities and working independently.
  • HR      certification (CHRP, SHRM, CIPD, etc.) is a plus but not required.

Contract Details

  • Six to twelve months with potential for extension
  • Primarily remote
  • Must be able to work primarily EST business hours with flexibility for other time zones as required
  • Immediate availability
  • Part-time (approx. 10 hours per week)
